ALPHA-TAPE® EDGEBANDING
Our brand, Alpha-Tape®, is based on our in-depth expertise in the development and manufacturing of thermoplastic edgebanding. We use only high quality, certified plastics to produce ALPHA-TAPE® in ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and PP (polypropylene). Whether your requirement is a solid color, trendy woodgrain, mirror high gloss, or anti-fingerprint matte surface, our many years of experience allows us to create exactly the product you need.

PP ZERO
Alpha-Tape® PP (Polypropylene) Zero is the innovative edge of MKT, which can be used for all currently available zero-joint technology applications. Our product features a proprietary, extremely hard, co-extruded functional layer (also based on PP) that replaces conventional adhesives in the edgebanding process.

For fifty years ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) has been used to produce edgebanding for decorative and functional use in the global wood-based panel market.

Alpha-Tape® Metallica uses a thin layer of metal foil laminated to a ABS edgeband to create the look and feel of real metal, without the processing challenges of a true metal edgeband.

The Future OF EDGEBANDING - Industry 4.0
We are in the midst of a noteworthy transformation regarding the way products are produced, thanks to the digitization of manufacturing. The fourth industrial revolution, known as 'Industry 4.0,' is rapidly integrating the physical with the digital; disrupting manufacturing with automation, digitization and new materials. Alpha-Tape® PP Zero Edgebanding is one of these new materials, the innovative edgebanding produced by MKT that can be processed using all of the smartest, latest zero-joint technologies for panel manufacturing.
A New Vision
The beginning of the new business year 2020 marked the official start of our newly formed Joint Venture MKT NORTH AMERICA, LLC. Together with our long-term partner SSI North America, our ambition is to provide all our North American customers with a seamless supply chain for our high-quality products of the brands ALPHA-TAPE ZERO® and ALPHA-TAPE® made in Germany.
